RECONSTRUCTION #3 Contemporary Art Each artist and designer has responded to the theme in imaginative and varying ways: Zaha Hadid has created a giant slide while Jeppe Hein has produced a mirrored labyrinth. Carsten Höller has created a flying machine, Henry Krokatsis a carved a Gothic tree-house and James Hopkins a giant kaleidoscope and camera obscura inside oversized champagne bottles. The Artists’ Playground is conceived by curators Mollie Dent-Brocklehurst and Elliot McDonald, directors of Reconstruction. The project is in partnership with Phillips de Pury & Company, and the maverick design dealer Kenny Schachter has co-ordinated the design element of the exhibition, curating works by four designers: Zaha Hadid, Tom Dixon, Arik Levy and Richard Woods. The Artists’ Playground: Michael Craig-Martin, Tom Dixon, Kevin Francis Gray, Zaha Hadid, Jeppe Hein, Carsten Höller, James Hopkins, Henry Krokatsis, Arik Levy, Jonathan Monk, Rolf Sachs, Piotr Uklanski, Lawrence Weiner, Ai Weiwei and Richard Woods.
